The first 6 books on Hasina’s rule and fall

Immediately after the mass uprising, Prothoma Prakashan published 6 books from December 2024 to March 2025. The books are: Student-People’s Uprising: Bangladesh on a New Path (December 2024) by retired professor Al Masud Hasanuzzaman, Department of Political Science, Jahangirnagar University, I am the State: Individualistic Autocracy in Bangladesh (January 2025), edited by journalist Sajjad Sharif, July: Testimony of the Mass Uprising (January 2025), Professor Asif Nazrul’s The Fall of Sheikh Hasina, written by researcher and writer Altaf Parvez, Red July: The Journey of the Mass Uprising of the 24th (February 2025), and July: Motherland or Death by Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, one of the organizers of the July Mass Uprising and Youth, Sports and Local Government Advisor to the Interim Government. Bangladesh on a New Path, is written by retired professor Al Masud Hasanuzzaman, Department of Political Science, Jahangirnagar University. He described the student uprising of 24 as a new reality in the political environment of Bangladesh. Professor Ali Riaz’s book I Am the State: Individual Dictatorship in Bangladesh (January 2025) was published in January this year. In this book, the author explains how dictators rise in different countries of the world, how dictatorships become individualistic, with examples from different countries. He describes in detail and explains and analyzes how dictatorships rose in Bangladesh and how dictatorships became individualistic during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure.
